Open Unified Process

The Open Unified Process (OpenUP) is an open source - software development process , which in the Rational Unified Process is based and the Eclipse Foundation is developed. It is part of the Eclipse Process Framework (EPF).

The process offers so-called best practices from a large number of experts from software development and covers a diverse range of perspectives and development needs.

OpenUP adheres to the basic properties of the Rational Unified Process (RUP), including

counting.

The most agile form of OpenUP, OpenUP / Basic , is suitable for small teams that are interested in agile and iterative software development. Small projects consist of teams of 3 to 6 people and take 3 to 6 months of development effort.
