When the record industry was first established, it was common for record companies to put together their own tango orchestras.

The Argentinian musicians of the Orquesta Tipica Brunswick rarely appeared together in public, but only met for the recordings. The orchestras of the record company Victor Records are best known .

The Brunswick record label operated the now relatively unknown Orquesta Tipica Brunswick from 1929 until the company was dissolved in 1932.
