Ousman Touray stood in the 2012 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the National Reconciliation Party (NRP) in the Sabach Sanjal constituency in the Kerewan Administrative Region . With 46.01% he could not win the constituency, he was defeated by his opponent Ousman Bah (APRC). In the 2017 parliamentary elections , he ran again in the same constituency. With 41.02% he was able to win the constituency before Manjie Sambou (PDOIS) for himself.
