The PKG pension fund (originally a pension fund for trade, commerce and industry (PKG) ) based in Lucerne is an independent community institution for the occupational pension provision of small and medium-sized companies . It insures the staff of its affiliated companies within the framework of the 2nd pillar with flexible and needs-based benefit plans .

The PKG pension fund was founded in Lucerne in 1972 as a foundation under private law for occupational pensions. According to the annual report at the end of 2014, a total of 1,468 companies with 27,514 actively insured persons and 3,242 pensioners were affiliated with it. The managed pension capital amounted to 4.6 billion Swiss francs.

Legal bases

The legal basis is formed by the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors 'and Disability Pension Plans , the Federal Act on Freedom of Movement in Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans and the associated ordinances. The pension fund regulations of the PKG pension fund count among the legal bases.

The highest body is the foundation council , which is composed on an equal footing . This consists of nine employee and nine employer representatives and is elected for three years by the assembly of delegates. The management is responsible for operational management.
