PNB Banka

The PNB Banka was on 29 April 1992 under the name Norvik Banka was founded. It is one of the oldest commercial banks in Latvia . The majority of the company is owned by the Russian businessman Grigory Guselnikov. Norvik Banka was part of the Norvik Group, which also includes Vyatka Bank in Russia. On November 9, 2018, the name was changed to PNB Banka . On August 15, 2019, the European Central Bank prohibited PNB Banka from doing business.

history

The bank is the eighth largest bank in Latvia in terms of assets. It offers its customers (private customers and companies) a wide range of services.

In October 2014, shareholders invested € 69.6 million in Norvik Bank's equity. On October 16, 2014 it was announced that Norvik Bank had bought 97.75% of Russian Vyatka Bank. The deal was approved by both the Latvian Finance and Capital Markets Commission and the Russian Central Bank. Vyatka Bank is a universal regional commercial bank with representations in four Russian regions.

Shareholders

In 2014, Grigory Guselnikov became the majority shareholder in Norvik Banka. Guselnikov is the lead partner in London-based mutual fund G2 Capital Partners.

The CEO of PNB Banka was Oliver Bramwell. He resigned in late June 2019.

performance

At the end of 2014, Norvik Banka had a good 86,000 customers. At that time, equity reached EUR 996.4 million (according to the Latvian Association of Commercial Banks). With this performance, the bank took fifth place in the industry.
