Papyrus is a graphic editing tool for UML 2 and SysML 1.1 and 1.4 as defined by the Object Management Group (OMG) .
All UML 2 diagram representations for UML 2 are supported. It is also possible to create your own domain-specific modeling languages.
Papyrus is based on Eclipse and is licensed under the Eclipse Public License (EPL). Contributions to papyrus include:
- CEA LIST, which is part of the Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA).
- EclipseSource
In 2016, 12 companies and institutions came together. The aim was to create a model-based engineering platform or workbench based on Papyrus. These 12 included Adocus, Airbus Helicopters, Airbus Defense & Space, Atos, CEA List, Combitech / Saab, EclipseSource, Ericsson, Flanders Make, Fraunhofer Fokus, OneFact and Zeligsoft, which have joined forces to form the Papyrus Industry Consortium.
