Additional accommodation
The additional hotel business is part of the accommodation industry . This can be understood to include all accommodation options that offer hotels but are not hotels . They are usually cheaper and have little or no service . Their share of the economic volume is much larger than that of the classic hotel industry.

- Sports and training centers in which athletes or amateurs stay for times when there are no sports hotels
In Switzerland, around 56% of the extra hotel overnight stays are in holiday apartments. The summer para-hotel business exceeds the number of guests with 53% and the winter with 47%.
