Yoke (archery)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A yoke is a term used in archery for shooting a certain number of arrows, taking hits and fetching arrows. A distinction is made between 3-arrow passes (shoot 3 arrows) and 6-arrow passes (shoot 6 arrows). 3-arrow ends are usually shot indoors at championships, 6-arrow ends are shot outdoors to reduce the time it takes to take hits and fetch arrows. Whether a pass is shot with 3 or 6 arrows depends on the relevant rules of the respective sports association, e.g. B. from the sports regulations of the DSB .

In league competitions, several shooters are grouped together in the pass, so in the federal and regional leagues three shooters shoot a pass with 2 arrows each.
