Pathping
Pathping is an extended Windows command (from Windows 2000 ) for tracert and ping . In contrast to Tracert , Pathping provides detailed information about the forwarding of the packets to the individual computers. In this way, the specific computer or router can be circled for troubleshooting. From a technical point of view, ping signals are regularly sent to all intermediate stations within a specified period of time. A maximum of 30 sections are displayed. Statistics are output at the end based on the data packets sent back from each intermediate station. The creation of these statistics is displayed with an indication of the expected waiting time until the screen output, which depends on the number of hops to the destination (25 seconds per hop).
