Patriarchal monastery "Holy Trinity"

The Patriarchal Monastery "Holy Trinity" ( Bulgarian Патриаршеският манастир "Света Троица" ) is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery in the Bulgarian city of Veliko Tarnowo ( Veliko Tarnowo Oblast ).

history

According to some theories, the monastery was founded in 1070. Other theories suggest that the monastery was founded in the 14th century. The monastery church was built and painted in 1847 by Kolju Fitscheto . It was destroyed in an earthquake in 1913 and rebuilt in its present form in 1927.
