from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul Schweder was a German journalist in the Wilhelmine Empire and war correspondent in the First World War , especially in the Turkish headquarters under General Liman von Sanders .

He made headlines in particular because of his journalistic feuds against Karl May .

Harry Stürmer refers to Paul Schweder in his book Two Years of War in Constantinople , in which he reports on his experiences as a correspondent for the Kölnische Zeitung on the Bosporus and massively criticizes the German war policy, when describing war crimes of the German troops in Belgium (including mass rape) .
