Pavilhão de Portugal

The Pavilhão de Portugal is an exhibition building in Parque das Nações in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon .

It was built between 1995 and 1998 on the occasion of the world exhibition Expo 98 as a pavilion for the host country Portugal according to plans by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira . It consists of two exhibition halls arranged in parallel. The wide space between the buildings is spanned by a concrete suspended roof construction.

Various proposals were discussed for the subsequent use, which would include the building as the seat of the Portuguese cabinet or an architecture museum. It is currently used for temporary exhibitions.

In March 2010, the pavilion was listed as a Monumento de Interest Público (MIP).
