Pavor diurnus

The pavor diurnus ( Latin for fear during the day; syn .: "fear of the day") is a sudden awakening from the nap with panic-like feelings of fear. This phenomenon occurs mainly in young children . The symptoms and explanation of the pavor diurnus roughly correspond to the pavor nocturnus , but it is not observed as often as the latter.
