Pei Yuanshao
Pei Yuanshao ( Chinese 裴元紹 , Pinyin Péi Yuánshào ) was an officer of the Yellow Turbans . While very little is known about him from historical sources, his character in Luo Guanzhong's novella History of the Three Realms takes on clearer features.
After the final suppression of their uprising, Pei Yuanshao led a bandit life with his soldiers . When he heard that the red hare , the legendary horse of the warrior Lü Bu , had changed hands, he wanted to steal it. But when he found out that Guan Yu was the new owner, he immediately gave up his plan and recommended Guan Yu to his friend Zhou Cang .
