Under Petro variance is defined as the recognizable and possibly measurable differences in the layer structure of sedimentary rocks . It specifies the conditions for the resilience of rock (weathering resistance). This can depend on the following parameters:

  1. Facies
  2. Petrography
  3. Grain size
  4. Layering
  5. colour
  6. Banking u. a.

All of these rock properties can fluctuate within a narrow or wide range. Weathering and erosion work depending on the geogr. Location and climate out the details and peculiarities of petrovariance.
