A pan board (also known as pan servant ) is an old household appliance that consists of a round wooden plate with a handle and a handle. It is a coaster to place a hot frying pan , saucepan or kettle on the dining table. In rural households, people used to eat straight from the pan. Pfannenknechte therefore usually have an adjustable device for supporting the pan handle, with which the pan can be tilted. This makes it easier to spoon the leftovers out of the pan towards the end of the meal.
