Phil Decker

Phil Decker is Jerry Cotton's service partner in the crime novel series of the same name about the cases and adventures of the FBI agent.

For the 50th anniversary of the series in 2004, there was a six-volume miniseries about Phil Decker, subtitled Jerry Cottons best friend . In this series, Phil Decker described six solo adventures that he passed after leaving the FBI. He left the FBI because he was responsible for the execution of an innocent man. His tour leads across the United States in six individual adventures .

During Phil's time off, Sarah Hunter was Jerry's service partner. With Volume 2457 Phil Decker returned to the series. He is next to Jerry Cotton as the most popular character in the crime series. He is described as handsome and a little quieter than Cotton and has a disturbed relationship with all air conditioning systems , which in his eyes never work properly.

In the eight full-length Jerry Cotton films from the 1960s, Phil Decker is played by the German actor Heinz Weiss .
