Matchboxes in the Częstochowa Museum

The phillumenie , from the Greek “philos” (friend) and Latin “lumen” (light), describes the collecting of matchboxes and especially their labels. It deals with the systematic collection of matchboxes or their labels as well as historical research into the manufacture, marketing and use of matches and matchstick packaging.
