Pick-by-Motion

Pick-by-motion is a technique for order picking , i.e. for the compilation of certain partial quantities in warehouse logistics. This system enables gesture-controlled order picking.

With pick-by-motion, the gripping movements of the warehouse worker (order picker) are monitored by camera. Gestures such as B. "Thumbs up" as "OK" and "Thumbs down" as a correction z. B. transferred to reduce the pick quantity. In this way, the hands remain free during order picking, dialogues are usually controlled by hand movements. The patented process for efficient source picking and target delivery allows more than 300 picks per hour and has particularly low error rates.
