Poker bot

Pokerbot or Poker Robot is a bot that plays poker online . The idea for such a program originally came from universities, where the first Pokerbots were created. These programs were not developed commercially, but rather under the auspices of artificial intelligence . A little later, the first commercial bots were available. This first generation wasn't very user-friendly yet. Good programming skills were required to integrate the poker strategy. Newer Pokerbot versions are easier to adapt and a large part of the basic strategies are already included.

Online poker providers have been fighting against the use of pokerbots in their poker rooms since these programs appeared. With some large providers, the poker account is blocked immediately after the use of a bot is determined.

Pokerbot championships

In 2005 there was a Pokerbot Championship in Las Vegas , hosted by the Golden Palace Casino. All Pokerbots developers were invited. In 2007 the Pokerbot World Championship was held in Miami.
