Polly Moller
Polly Moller is an American composer , flautist and improvisation musician .
In Oakland living musician Moller published since 1995 four solo albums. She is a member of the groups Reconaissance Fly and ReCardiacs Fly as well as the society for contemporary classical musicsequence 21 and co-founder and board member of the music society Outsound Presents . With Les Hutchins she forms the duo No More Twist!
Moller has performed at the Big Sur Experimental Music Festival and the Woodstockhausen Festival , among others . She took part in the Flute Festival Mid South with the performance workshop You May Already Be a Performance Artist . Her flute quartet Remove Before Flight , commissioned by the Hiller Aviation Museum , premiered in 2005. For the 60x60 project by Vox Novus , she composed Cold Blood for speakers and electronics. She received u. a. Awards from the American Composers Forum Subito Program , the American Composers Community Partners Program, and the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts .
