Post credit scene

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A post-credit scene is a scene in a film or TV series that is shown during or after the credits . Such a scene is often used to indirectly announce a sequel to the film or to ironize the previous film (e.g. Bandits ! , USA 2001, Barry Levinson ). The complexity of the post-credit scene ranges from an epilogue to a short laugh (stinger gag) , for example in Crocodile Dundee II (USA 1988), in which the main character asks: “Ready to go home?” Usually should the audience will be motivated to wait for the end credits to be heard. One of the first post-credit scenes was shown in Muppet Movie (USA 1979).
