Pouce

Pouce was a French measure of length and the name for the old inch . The measure was divided duodecimally , i.e. in 12 lines, the lines of 2.256 millimeters each .

• 1 pouce = 2.707 centimeters
• 1 pied de roi (royal foot ) = 12 pouce
• 1 toise ( fathom ) = 6 pied de roi = 72 pouce
