The Poulnabrone dolmen ( Irish Poll na Brón , also Poll na mBrón - German  the hole of the millstone or the hole of worries , hence English also called the hole of the sorrows ) is a portal tomb . Located in the Burren , County Clare , Ireland , it was built in the Neolithic , probably between 3800 and 3200 BC. Built in BC. The dolmen is made up of two orthostats that support an approximately 3.65 m long capstone. Originally it was covered by a stone mound.

Restoration work was carried out between 1986 and 1988 after a crack was discovered in 1985 in the east of the two bearing stones. Not only was the damaged bearing stone replaced, but an additional orthostat was also placed on the west side to stabilize the capstone. In the course of this work, Dr. Ann Lynch also carry out excavations, during which she found remains of burials that had been preserved in the channels in the limestone. These traces are from around 3000 BC. Dated BC (5100-4900 BP ). Results of excavations were presented by Dr. Ann Lynch published in a book in 2014.
