As preclinical (adjective preclinical ) is referred to
- the early phase of a disease without symptoms ,
- In emergency medicine, the treatment phase outside of suitable medical facilities, then also referred to as rescue medicine .
- In pharmacological research , not in the studies (yet) in humans, but in the cell or a phase animal model are performed.
