Preloader

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term preloader describes a part of the program that is responsible for preloading data . You can find preloaders wherever larger amounts of data have to be loaded and this loading process takes some time. A secondary purpose of a preloader is to inform the user of a program or a website about the progress of the loaded amount of data with the aid of a progress indicator. Ideally, an advance calculation of the expected charging time is also displayed.
