Prenestino
The VI. Municipio Prenestino was one of the 19 municipalities of the city of Rome . It was east of the old town and stretched roughly between Via Casilina and the Rome – Pescara railway line . After March 11, 2013, a new Municipio VII was formed, which consists of parts of the former Municipio IX and X. The former Municipio VII became Municipio V together with Municipio VI .
Prenestino had 124,846 inhabitants (2006). It is divided into the following districts.

The area was settled at the beginning of the 20th century. The main access road is the eponymous Via Prenestina .
