A pressed part is a pre - formed semi-finished part with a matt surface.

Manufacturing

After the furnace all raw materials are connected to a hot liquid glass melt and all gas bubbles were removed therefrom is a lens -Pressling prepared. The melt is fed into the rotary indexing machine (rotary table press) via a pouring distributor channel. A precisely dosed drop of the viscous melt is placed on a bowl and then evenly distributed in the bowl under high pressure with the aid of a plunger. Depending on the shape of the shell and the stamp, a pressed part for minus or plus glasses lenses is formed with an allowance.
