The Prussian T 13.1 were tank locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) for freight train service. They emerged as a further development of the Prussian T 13 (type Union) and were classified in the DR class 92.4 from 1925 .

history

In the early 1920s, the newly founded Deutsche Reichsbahn acquired the tried and tested T 13 as a superheated steam locomotive with Lentz type valve control. The locomotives, initially referred to as T 13.1, came to the Oldenburg (formerly Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways ) and Altona departments . According to the 1925 redesignation plan, the 13 locomotives were given the new operating numbers 92 401 to 92 413.

The Saar-Eisenbahnen also procured five T 13.1s from Krauss in Munich in 1923, but they differed somewhat from the others. Among other things, they had a differently shaped driver's cab and other boiler structures. They received the numbers 92 414-418 from the Deutsche Reichsbahn. The machines that remained in the western zones were sold to private railways until 1948.

Other former private railroad locomotives that were classified by the Deutsche Reichsbahn as 92 421, 92 431–437 and 92 441 and 442 were not T 13.1.
