The AS Private Bank (until 2007: AS Paritāte Banka , proper spelling "private bank") is a corporation founded in 1992 Aktiengesellschaft under Latvian law. Since 2007 the private bank has been a subsidiary of the Ukrainian bank Open Joint Stock Company Kommerzbank Privatbank . The main office is in Riga . The chairman of the board is Oleksandr Trubakov. The bank has 322 employees.

Market presence in Latvia

Privatbank is represented on the Latvian market with 15 branches in the larger cities. It offers the usual services: credit transactions, investments, asset management and money transfer services as well as package solutions for specific target groups such as seafarers and their families. For business customers, the private bank specializes in supporting foreign companies.

The activities of the bank are subject to the supervision of the Finance and Capital Market Commission in Latvia , for activities on the German market this has been registered with the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

history

The bank was founded in 1992 as AS Paritāte Banka as one of the first Latvian commercial banks .

In 2001 the Ukrainian SAO KB PrivatBank became the main shareholder of Paritāte Banka . Six years later, it took over the name of the main shareholder and became AS Privatbank .

In 2010 a branch was opened in Portugal, followed by a branch in Italy in 2010. The branch in Portugal was closed on March 1, 2015. Since then, Portuguese customers have been looked after by the Latvian head office.
