Process sensitivity level

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Process Sensitivity Level ( PSL , English , roughly process sensitivity class) describes the sensitivity of an electronic component to the standard soldering process .

background

Not all available electronic components survive the conditions of the standard manufacturing processes. These can be, for example, temperature or a specific cleaning agent. These special process sensitivities are mapped in the classification.

standardization

The classification R0 means, for example, no particular process sensitivity, R9A may be heated up to a maximum of 240 ° C. The exact classifications are described in the ECA / IPC / JEDEC J-STD-075 standard.
