  • in the field of economy, it describes the unit of manufacturing and production management, see production system (company)
  • In the field of computer science, it describes a system environment or a part of it, on which programs are executed and data are stored and processed. A distinction must be made between test , development , backup systems, etc. Alternatively, one speaks of a productive system .
