Project bond

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Project bonds (ger .: project bonds ) are case-or project-related financing instruments under the EU infrastructure policy as opposed to euro bonds issued by private initiators, but with money from the EU budget will be secured as a risk partner. The European Investment Bank (EIB) is a partner in this financing model.

The EU aims to combine savings and growth strategies with project bonds by activating private investor money in order to be able to carry out large and expensive infrastructure tasks (road, rail, power grid expansion, etc.) in the face of tight public budgets and thereby generate positive economic stimuli.
