Project engineer

Projektant (also Vorbefasster) is a term from German procurement law . It refers to applicants or bidders who have advised or otherwise supported a contracting authority before initiating a procurement procedure. A blanket exclusion of project engineers from the further award procedure is not permitted. However, measures must be taken to compensate for the information advantage of the project engineer compared to other competitors.
