As project marketing refers to the presentation and advertising representation of a project within the participating companies and if appropriate in the public.

It is a project management instrument to influence the project environment in terms of project success and to strategically secure it. The most important goal is to secure funds and resources for project execution and to prepare the subsequent marketing of the result achieved. In project management jargon, the phrase "do good and talk about it!" the project marketing mandate.

Essential elements of project marketing are:

  • Name the project with a catchy name (often an acronym )
  • Design of a project logo
  • Implementation of a project start workshop ( kick-off meeting )
  • Establishment of your own project room
  • Success-oriented presentation of the work in the project in a suitable manner
  • Regular and frequent information from decision-makers about the progress of the project
