Proplastid

A proplastid (from ancient Greek πρό pro , German 'before' and πλαστός plastós 'formed') is a plastid that has not yet been differentiated in biology . Proplastids are colorless and are located in the formation tissue . It can develop into chloroplasts , etioplasts, etc. A new proplastid is created by budding (ie pinching off) from other plastids.
