Processogram

Process map

The processogram graphically represents individual business processes in their interactions and / or temporal relationships with one another and defines the responsible process owner . It is the basis for all further optimizations , descriptions and definitions of a process organization . It is in contrast to the organizational chart , which reflects the (functional, hierarchical, disciplinary) organizational structure.

A simplified form of a processogram is the process map , which is formally structured in the same way, but does not mention the process owners by name. According to a study by the Graz University of Technology in 2008, in which Austrian industrial companies were randomly selected and surveyed, 61.33% of the companies surveyed defined a uniform and complete process map (company process model). 16.67% of the companies surveyed only defined an incomplete process map for their company. 22% of the companies have not created a process map.
