Pssst! Our secret is a children's book series by Thomas Brezina , especially for girls aged 8 and over. It has been published by Ravensburger Buchverlag since 1999 . By 2006 the series had been translated into six languages.

In every shhh! Our secret book contains a secret code or a code decoder.

  • Krissi Kiska

has 2 brothers (Caesar and Antonius), she loves ghost trains and roller coasters, has a dog (Amadeus) and 2 cats (Daisy and Donald), is often mistaken for her mother and everyone thinks she is brave.

  • Bix (Beatrix) thaler

has a little brother (Felix), finds herself too fat, she has 2 rabbits named Dick and Doof. Her father died in a motorcycle accident when she was four, but her mother has a new boyfriend named Ben, with whom she gets along very well.

  • Vanessa Reininghaus

has 2 sisters (Wanda and Susanna), owns 5 budgies with the names 1–5, does karate and likes to experiment. Her nickname is "Grübel" because she speaks little and thinks a lot.

Krissi, Bix and Vanessa are best friends. One day they find the talking, cigarette smoking and chip-eating toad Alexa. From then on, the three girls are on her behalf. You have to look for witches, hunt vampires or expose werewolves. During these adventures, the girls experience things that readers of this age know well, fall in love, go on a diet, rave about TV heroes and argue with each other.
