The Puppiden-Veliden are a meteor shower , which has a ZHR of 10 meteors per hour. During the period of activity, the radiant shifts from the constellation aft deck of the ship (Puppis) to the constellation Sails of the ship (Vela). The radian is made up of several sub-radians that are very close to each other.

The Puppid Velidae cannot be observed from Central Europe.
