Cross reading

With skimming or diagonal reading one is speed reading referred technique with which it is possible in a short time to get an overview of the contents of a text. The eye “flies over” the text from the top left corner of the page in diagonal jumps to the bottom right corner. This achieves a high reading speed . The aim is to intuitively grasp the key points (keywords) in the text. Therefore, the training is trained to let the eye sweep over the page in a disciplined manner and to grasp fixed word groups as a whole.
