Quintessence (radio broadcast)

Quintessenz is a radio broadcast of West German Broadcasting , which is broadcast on the second radio program WDR 2 . The content of the programs is general consumer information ( quintessence = the most important thing ) about various products and services. The program is currently broadcast on weekdays from Monday to Friday with a half-hour duration from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The aim of the program is to protect the listeners from the dangers of inadequacies and overreaching up to cost savings in terms of consumer protection before purchasing products and services. The show has been produced under the title since 1972 and broadcast on WDR radio, since 1998 at the current air time.

Awards

In 2005, the series was awarded the first prize for consumer journalism advertised by the Stiftung Warentest in the presence of Federal Consumer Protection Minister Renate Künast , as Quintessenz has created a brand in consumer journalism.
