Rádio Nacional AM de Brasilia is the national culture and information broadcaster of Brazil from Brasilia . The station, founded in 1956, is considered one of the oldest cultural radios in the world.

The transmitter went on air on May 31, 1958 on the medium wave frequency 980 kHz and continues to broadcast there today. It radiates with a power of 300 kW during the day and with the reduced power of 100 kW at night. Due to the high transmission power, the station can be heard throughout Brazil and beyond.
