Radio Spectrum Policy Group

The Radio Spectrum Policy Group , English Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) is an advisory body in spectrum policy issues of the European Commission . It supports and advises the Commission on frequency policy issues, the coordination of political approaches and measures that are necessary for the establishment of a harmonized European internal market. Germany is represented in this body by the BMWi , which is supported by the Federal Network Agency .

The RSPG was set up on the basis of a decision by the Commission ( 2002/622 / EC , replaced by a decision of 11 June 2019 ). Members of the group are representatives of the EU member states, representatives of the associated states and the states with candidate status. In addition, representatives of the EU Parliament, the European Conference of the Administration for Post and Telecommunications (CEPT) and the European Institute for Telecommunications Standards (ETSI) are involved. There is a cooperation agreement with the European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC).

The content of the work is primarily topics of the " digital dividend " and the WAPECS concept .
