Rajana is a female given name and comes from Indian .

It arose from a modification of the names Rajana (= "the daughter who brings joy") and Raja (= "goddess"). Contrary to expectations, the J in the name is pronounced softly, and the emphasis is on the 2nd syllable .

It also exists in the Croatian / Serbian language area. It originated from "rajanstvena / rajstvena / rajana" (heavenly) and means "the heavenly one".
