Rakott krumpli

Rakott krumpli (also rakott burgonya ) is a Hungarian dish made from potatoes, sour cream, sausage and eggs. It is prepared as a casserole in which the ingredients are layered on top of each other. It was first mentioned in the Hungarian national cookbook Magyar nemzeti szakácskönyve , which was supposedly written by István Czifray in 1840.
