Ramus sternocleidomastoideus

The ramus sternocleidomastoideus is an artery of the neck in humans. It arises from the external carotid artery , sometimes also from the upper thyroid artery and supplies the muscle of the same name ( sternocleidomastoid muscle ), and in some cases also the neighboring muscles and the skin of the corresponding neck region.
