Rat trap

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rat-Trap is a joking name for a carburetor made by the English manufacturer Binks , which was built in the 1920s. Charles Binks initially produced motorcycles from 1903 to 1906 and then devoted himself to the construction of carburetors. In December 1914, he received a patent for a carburetor, the racing version of which had a very long intake funnel and was reminiscent of a rat trap. In 1927, Binks merged with two other English manufacturers to form Amalgamated Carburetters Ltd. (AMAL).
