Real life comics
Reallifecomics is a webcomic written by Greg Dean . It appears in English and sometimes in German and has existed since November 15, 1999. The comic is about the author's life and is provided with humorous and sometimes fictional elements. In addition to everyday problems, the focus is on computer games , fantasy and science fiction . Current films and computer games are also commented on, and hardware innovations are also finding their way into comics. The first strip out was about Greg and his friends getting bored and decided to start a webcomic based on their lives.
The webcomic paused from December 10, 2015 to September 10, 2018. Since then, the comic has been updated again on weekdays.
Characters
- Greg: Greg is the main character of the comic and modeled after the author. He is addicted to Pepsi and loves computer games (especially MMORPGs and Final Fantasy ). He also has a weakness for medieval objects. Therefore, among other things, he had a chain mail and a replication of the "Master Sword" from Zelda and the "Buster Sword" from Final Fantasy made. At the beginning of the comic, he worked temporarily in a small airport. He later moved in with his wife Liz and trained as a chef. In the meantime he has moved to Texas and apparently devotes his life to drawing comics and staying in various comic cones.
- Liz: Liz is Greg's wife. She met him through an online forum and moved in with him as the story progressed. Liz also likes computer games.
- Alan Extra: Alan is the extra Real Life. Whether as a mobile phone seller or a contact person on the street, Alan is always there when the comic needs any other actor. Usually he is blond with a mustache, but his hairstyle and beard sometimes vary. However, the face can be recognized in a great many comics. A long storyline was also devoted to him in which he went on strike .
- Tony: Tony is a friend of Greg's. He is portrayed as an "Evil Mastermind" and genius who can supposedly easily usurp world domination. He has currently set up a space station in orbit on earth, where he is hiding from the government.
- Phil: Phil is a computer guru and hacker. It is characterized above all by the fact that it gives every computer a “real” intelligence. He is also an absolute ace in the field of shooters.
- Harper: daughter of Liz and Greg, born in 2011. According to the author, the reason for some fancy strips.
