Real science

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Real sciences have real facts on the subject of research such as natural sciences or cultural studies .

The term is usually used as a contrast to the formal sciences such as mathematics , the contents of which describe abstract, logical relationships. The boundary between real science and formal science is not drawn uniformly and is sometimes fluid, as in economics or computer science .

The term " empirical science " is sometimes used synonymously with real science, but must be distinguished from it.
