The Reggiane Re. 2003 was an Italian project by Reggiane for a new generation of hunting scouts.

history

The Reggiane Re.2003 was a two-seater version of the Re.2000 . For the first prototype built, a machine from a construction lot originally intended for Hungary and Sweden was used. This was lengthened in order to have space for an observer who sat behind the pilot under the longer, transparent canopy. Depending on the source, the first flight was on June 29, 1941. A second machine was converted from a Re.2002 . Their first flight was on October 13, 1942. 200 units were ordered, but they were canceled again in 1942.

The fuel capacity was 674 liters. The ability to attack the ground should also be provided for armed reconnaissance. Bomb suspensions were provided for this.
